The Ballad Of Love
She danced to
As she refused to fall
In no arms
With steady feet
And glass slippers
That fit too perfectly
To fall for
Even the most
Worthy of suitors.
The ballad of love
And the first dance
That she danced to
All alone
Never for a moment
Did the tune made her feel
Like it was
Meant for two.
And that’s how she made
Everyone in the gathering
Wonder why she danced alone.
Left them in awe
That a woman like her
Could dare move on a floor
That seemed like molten earth
And dance on the same
Like she was a Wild Fire
That burnt down everything
That stopped her way.
You see,
If you look closer.
How scared was the wild fire,
of anything that burnt
strong enough
to overpower it's light,
For the fear of the grief
That follows the joys of attachment
Is too much
And might put the fire out.
Why’d she risk
Falling in love
When she is unsure
That the clouds she pursue
Will be the one
That pour down the heaven on her.
Why'd you risk
chasing the skies
when nobody really knows
who owns the infinite.
So the ballad of love,
Surely meant for two.
She knows that for real,
But she knows better than just that.
For she cannot twirl
To a name
That may just be
Another one
Who could find something
Not worthy to love in her.
So the ballad of love,
Stays unwritten
Incomplete
Till the next chapter unfolds.
It's amazing 😍..... Like seriously I have never thought in that direction

DeleteIs it about Cindrella? I pictured her and the scene you described before the Prince asks her to dance with him. Lovely
